Students and faculty in the Embryology course are known for creating, year after year, a stunning array of images and videos of developing organisms. Since 2011, an open competition to choose the best from a sampling of Embryology course images has been run by  a digital community by and for developmental biologists. The winning image graces the cover of the journal This year's competition is among four images captured in the 2014 Embryology course.
