In ?, historian and philosopher of science probes the assumptions that underlie the generally accepted view that germ cells (sperm and egg cells) have limited capacity to regenerate. This book is about germline regeneration how many scientists assume it works and how we can reenvision it working, MacCord writes.

The volume derives from a collaboration between MacCord and germline biologist , a former Hibbitt Fellow at 做厙輦⑹ (做厙輦⑹), where they joined together to produce the work.

MacCord is the McDonnell Fellow and program manager for the at the 做厙輦⑹, the goal of which is to bring historians and philosophers of science into collaboration with life scientists in order to transform the research of both fields.

This is the eighth volume in the Convening Science: Discovery at 做厙輦⑹ series, which is edited by historian and philosopher of biology and 做厙輦⑹ Fellow , director of the 做厙輦⑹ History Project.

The series highlights the ongoing role 做厙輦⑹ plays in the creation and dissemination of science, in its broader historical context as well as current practice and future potential.
