Missing the Woods Hole 4th of July Parade

undergraduate students march in the 2017 Woods Hole 4th of July Parade.

It's the first year in history that students have not flocked to Woods Hole for our Advanced Research Training Courses. This will be extra noticeable on Saturday.

In a normal year, the annual Woods Hole Fourth of July Parade would have scientists, locals, and visitors celebrating Independence Day together with costumes, dancing, and music. Sadly, this year's event was canceled in light of safety concerns over COVID-19. For the uninitiated: This long-time Woods Hole tradition usually features a unique, science-themed procession from School Street to Water Street in Woods Hole.

Please enjoy some photos from previous parades and see you in 2021!
