WOODS HOLE, MA—�������� (��������) has announced the recipients of its 2015 Whitman Center Investigators at the �������� Research Awards. Each year, this program supports approximately 20 scientists from U.S. and international institutions who come to the �������� for six or more weeks in the summer to conduct independent research. Funds for the awards come from a variety of sources generously donated to the ��������.

The awards support a wide array of biological research, with particular focus on marine biology, regenerative biology, cell biology, developmental biology, microbiology, and neuroscience. Applications are peer-reviewed and evaluated based on their scientific merit, fit within the ��������, collaborative opportunities and synergy with current initiatives, as well as opportunities to attract new investigators and new and innovative areas of research to the �������� community.

Twenty-one investigators received awards to conduct research at the �������� in 2015.
